Hooks Book Events is thrilled to be facilitating an art therapy session for students at the Goodwill Center, in partnership with the GW Art Therapy Clinic. Self-expression through the arts — drawing, painting, and sculpting — can be powerful in promoting mental health. GW’s Art Therapy Clinic focuses on creative growth and self-expression for children, adolescents, adults, and families to help deal with:

• depression and anxiety
• illness, trauma, and loss
• relationship and self-esteem issues
• job and school-related stress
• transitions and major life changes
