September 16, 2015 @ 12:00 am

About the Author — Sherry is an internationally acclaimed organizational strategist and expert on managing change. She is a confidant and coach to successful leaders who want to guide their organizations from what is to what can be. As a popular conference speaker, she shares proven strategies that help people in organizations work with greater purpose and harmony.

In 1985, Sherry launched the Schiller Center for Connective Change as a nonprofit organization to help organizational leaders envision and realize better futures. She quickly gained a national reputation for challenging established assumptions and offering fresh solutions to organizational dilemmas. Her book, Dispelling the Megatrends Myth: A Leader's Guide to Managing Change, offers a dynamic model for collaborative, strategic leadership. Last year, Schiller released her book Hum, a guide for harried organizational leaders to focus with greater purpose and harmony.

As President of the Center, Sherry has traveled the world, helping business, government, education and nonprofit leaders understand, anticipate, and create change. Organizations as diverse as the U.S. Forest Service, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Booz|Allen|Hamilton, the Corporation for National Service, Vital Voices, and Bangkok Patana School have all benefited from Sherry's guidance and insight. Leaders report that she has helped them create more collaborative leadership, greater clarity on shared goals, better aligned systems and structures, and a stronger bottom line.

About the Book — Exceptional organizations everywhere hum with vibrancy, relevance, and success. You can feel their magic, even if you don't know how they created it. Now learn their secrets, and how you can achieve that same kind of hum in your own team or organization.

When an organization hums, all of its people and parts are aligned with its purpose. Governing boards, leaders, and managers agree about where they want to go and how to get there.

Hum: Using Connective Change to Lead Your Organization to Greater Purpose and Harmony is a must-read for leaders who feel overwhelmed by change, inundated by demands to do more with less, and frustrated with negative patterns and old solutions. Sharing what she's learned from many years of helping organizations all over the world shine, Schiller shares the secrets of organizations that hum, along with practical steps and tools for leaders who want their own organizations to hum with greater purpose and harmony.
